[Intradiverticular bladder tumor. Apropos of 3 cases]

The authors report on three new cases of tumours growing in bladder diverticula. If an intravenous urogram (IVU) of high quality is obtained and properly interpreted--in almost all cases a diverticular lacuna will be seen. Such an IVU picture is most suspicious in a patient with haematuria. The impossibility, for technical reasons, of exploring the interior of the diverticulum endoscopically means that the diagnosis cannot be ruled out. These tumours have a bad prognosis: 13% 3 year survival and 5% survival at 4 years. The authors reach the conclusion which is in agreement with the literature, that these tumours need to be treated radically.
