    Circulating immune complexes (CIC) are typically normal in molar pregnancy but rise during remission. Elevated CIC levels during remission may indicate specific immune system interactions in trophoblastic disease.

    Background:

    • Molar pregnancy is a gestational trophoblastic neoplasm.
    • The role of circulating immune complexes (CIC) in molar pregnancy is not well understood.
    • Trophoblastic tumor burden may influence immune responses.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the relationship between CIC levels and trophoblastic tumor burden in patients with molar pregnancy.
    • To determine if CIC levels change during the course of molar pregnancy and remission.

    Main Methods:

    • Measurement of CIC levels in patients diagnosed with molar pregnancy.
    • Serial monitoring of CIC levels during treatment and until gonadotropin remission.
    • Correlation of CIC levels with clinical status and tumor markers.
