    Summary

    Postictal pleocytosis, an increase in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leukocytes after seizures, is transient. This finding was observed in CSF samples examined within 72 hours of generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients without other causes for pleocytosis.
