Enhanced 5-hydroxytryptamine sensitivity of morphologically differentiated neuroblastoma cells
Cell Biology International Reports
|April 1, 1983
Abstract:
The addition of 2% (vol./vol.) dimethyl sulfoxide to replated confluent cultures of NIE-115 neuroblastoma cells abolishes cell-proliferation and induces extensive neurite formation. The morphologically differentiated cells exhibit higher resting membrane potential and higher input resistance. In addition the differentiated cells also express an increased sensitivity to 5-hydroxytryptamine.
