    Summary

    Homogeneously hyperechoic scrotal masses on ultrasound are typically benign. This study found no malignancies among these lesions, suggesting a favorable diagnosis regardless of location within the scrotum.

    Background:

    • Scrotal masses require accurate diagnosis to differentiate benign from malignant conditions.
    • Ultrasound is a primary imaging modality for evaluating scrotal abnormalities.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the pathological nature of homogeneously hyperechoic scrotal masses identified via ultrasound.
    • To determine if lesion echogenicity correlates with malignancy in scrotal pathology.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective analysis of eight scrotal masses with homogeneous hyperechoic ultrasound appearance.
    • Pathological examination of all resected or biopsied lesions.

    Main Results:

    • Five masses were intratesticular, and three were extratesticular.
    • All eight lesions were pathologically confirmed as benign, primarily consisting of scar tissue or fibrosis.
    • Two adenomatoid tumors were identified among the benign findings.
