[Relative biological effectiveness of neutrons in mixed gamma-neutron irradiation]

Experimental animals (mice and rats) were exposed to mixed gamma/neutron radiation. Relative biological effectiveness of a neutron component (RBEn/x) was shown to decrease with decreasing share of neutrons in the combination. This is considered as a manifestation of nonadditivity of the effects of neutrons and sparsely ionizing radiation.
