    Summary

    Engaging in sports after total hip arthroplasty (THA) is often restricted. However, this study found that patients who participated in sports after THA had a lower incidence of implant loosening compared to non-active patients.

    Background:

    • Historically, sporting activities post-total hip arthroplasty (THA) have been discouraged due to concerns about implant failure.

    • To investigate the impact of post-operative sporting activity on the long-term success of total hip arthroplasty.
