Abstract:
This paper presents clinical observations on the preventive effect of cimetidine for stress ulcer bleeding in severe burns. It shows that gastrointestinal bleeding after severe burn is significantly reduced, and the incidence of acute gastro-duodenal ulcer lowered by administration of cimetidine.
