Abstract:
The description "tear-drop" or "pear-shaped" bladder is applied to a bladder with a narrow base and elongated body (1). Though first described in patients with a pelvic haematoma, pelvic lymphocoele is a recognised though uncommon cause. This case report demonstrates the characteristic ultrasonic appearance that led to successful aspiration of the bilateral fluid collection.
