Endoscopic injection of Teflon for female urinary incontinence

56 women with urinary stress incontinence were treated by transurethral Teflon injection. 48 of these patients (86%) were completely cured or greatly improved. No abscess or other complications were observed. Hospital stay is reduced to 2-3 days. The procedure is easy to perform and does not interfere with further surgery, should it be necessary. It is particularly useful after failure of previous surgery and in obese and debilitated patients.
