Surgical correction for hearing impairment from collapse of the external auditory canal
The American Journal of Otology
|July 1, 1983
Abstract:
A patient is presented who was symptomatic from collapse of his left external auditory meatus. The attenuation produced by meatal collapse was eliminated by a special meatoplasty. Although surgical intervention may not be indicated in every case, it is certainly a viable alternative and was effective for this patient.
