[Compression of the radial nerve by a coracobrachial muscle. An anatomical study]

Whilst dissecting the body of a 76 year old male we observe an accessory muscle originating from the coracoid processus and inserting in the tendinous part of the latissimus dorsal muscle. The muscle crosses the radial nerve in the axilla, thus causing a strong narrowing of the nerve. The possibility of a resulting compression syndrome is discussed.
