    Summary

    Maternal exercise during pregnancy did not significantly impact fetal development in Sprague-Dawley rats. Fetal number, weight, and diaphragm muscle development remained comparable between exercising and non-exercising groups.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of maternal treadmill exercise during gestation on female Sprague-Dawley rats.
    • To assess effects on litter size, fetal weight, and diaphragm muscle development.
