Unexpected positive effects of myocardial infarction on couples

This article describes a small-scale study of five couples that was conducted after the husbands had recovered from a heart attack. According to the findings, two of the couples reported that the recuperative period lent a clearly positive dimension to an otherwise threatening experience.
