[Unusual case of chronic myeloproliferative syndrome]
Abstract:
A patient with myeloproliferative syndrome presenting the variety of aspects of both polycythemia vera and agnogenic myeloid metaplasia and megakaryocytic myelosis is described. According to the more recent hypotheses on the matter, our report confirms the presence of inseparable links among the above mentioned myeloproliferative disorders. The wrong diagnosis of Hodgkin's disease based on the histological features of the spleen is also discussed.
