[Formation of the biting surface of amalgam fillings]
Deutsche Zahnarztliche Zeitschrift
|April 1, 1980
Abstract:
The biting surface of an amalgam filling must be functionally correct to preserve the tactile sensitivity of the tooth and to avoid the often severe consequences of occlusal interferences. A special carving instrument can be used for the best possible formation of inclined cusps and edges with occlusal contact point groups as well as fossae and fissures.
