[Pulp reaction and formation of hard substances after direct capping with a lyophilized collagen preparation]
Deutsche Zahnarztliche Zeitschrift
|August 1, 1980
Abstract:
The course of healing following direct capping of the pulp with collagen fleece differed from that after capping with Calxyl. The collagen fleece covering the pulp and filling part of the dentinal defect was replaced by newly formed pulp tissue with a new growth of dentine from the margins. Calxyl however initially produced localized necrosis. Hard substance was deposited in this circumscribed necrotic area.
