Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of time, light and air exposure on the pH stability and demineralization ability of a standardized pH 1 citric acid solution. A 0.5 liter pH 1 citric acid solution was prepared and examined over a 5 month period. The results indicated that pH 1 citric acid and solutions prepared under the described conditions remained stable during the examination period with regards to all tested variables.
