    Background:

    • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system.
    • Complement system proteins play a role in neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration.
    • Understanding complement protein dynamics in CSF is crucial for MS pathogenesis research.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of complement proteins (C3, C4) and other proteins (alpha 1-antitrypsin, IgG) in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
    • To correlate these protein levels with different MS disease states (relapse, remission) and other neurological conditions.
    • To explore the implications of these findings for blood-brain barrier integrity and local immune responses in MS.
