    Background:

    • Antiglobulins, antibodies targeting immunoglobulins, play roles in various immune responses and diseases.
    • Human antiglobulins reacting with non-human primate immunoglobulins are not well-characterized.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the presence and characteristics of human IgM antiglobulins that react with baboon IgG.
    • To determine the frequency of these antiglobulins in normal individuals and rheumatoid arthritis patients.

    Main Methods:

    • Hemagglutination assay using red blood cells coated with baboon immune serum.
    • Testing of normal human sera and sera from rheumatoid arthritis patients.
