    Summary

This study presents three cases of mitral and tricuspid valve prolapse. Echocardiography effectively revealed tricuspid valve prolapse in these patients.

    Area of Science:

    • Cardiology
    • Medical Imaging

    Background:

    • Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) and tricuspid valve prolapse (TVP) are common valvular heart conditions.
    • Echocardiography is a primary diagnostic tool for assessing valvular heart disease.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To present cases of patients with both mitral and tricuspid valve prolapse.
    • To highlight the diagnostic utility of echocardiography in identifying tricuspid valve prolapse.

    Main Methods:

    • Case series presentation.
    • Two-dimensional echocardiography.
    • Simultaneous M-mode echocardiography.

    Main Results:

    • Three patients diagnosed with prolapse of the mitral and tricuspid valves.
    • Tricuspid valve prolapse was successfully identified using two-dimensional and M-mode echocardiography.

    Related Experiment Videos

    Conclusions:

    • Echocardiography is a valuable non-invasive technique for diagnosing tricuspid valve prolapse.
    • Combined echocardiographic methods provide comprehensive assessment of valvular prolapse.
