    Background:

    • The supraorbital nerve transmits sensory information, including afferent fibers for the blink reflex.
    • Assessing nerve conduction velocity (NCV) is vital for diagnosing neurological disorders affecting peripheral nerves.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To determine the maximal conduction velocity of the supraorbital nerve in healthy individuals.
    • To evaluate the diagnostic utility of supraorbital nerve conduction velocity in patients with trigeminal neuralgia, multiple sclerosis, and cerebellopontine angle tumors.

    Main Methods:

    • Maximal conduction velocity was measured in the supraorbital nerve of 12 healthy subjects.
    • NCV was also assessed in 23 patients diagnosed with various neurological pathologies.

    Main Results:

    • The mean maximal conduction velocity in normal subjects was 41 m/s.
    • Pathological results were observed and analyzed in patient groups.

    Conclusions:

    • Supraorbital nerve conduction velocity measurement shows potential as a diagnostic tool.
    • Further evaluation is warranted to establish its clinical significance in specific neurological conditions.
