Abstract:
An attempt is made to summarize recent available information on the coronary vasospasm as one of the pathogenetic mechanisms of coronary heart disease. The review focuses attention on the following topics: 1) spasm and the coronary artery microarchitecture; 2) spasm and the nervous system control of the coronary arteries; 3) spasm and clinical manifestations of coronary heart disease. Data are also presented on the influence of drugs on the coronary vasospasm.
