[Feeding of E. coli endotoxins to mice]

Large amounts of Escherichia coli endotoxins were fed to young mice. There was no influence on the feed uptake and weight gain and no particular pathological lesions were found. However, there was a tendency towards increased liver and kidney weights. This increase was statistically significant in the group of female mice.
