[Lipid resorption and intestinal lipoprotein metabolism]
Abstract:
In a survey the present state of our knowledge about lipolysis, formation of micelles, lipid resorption, intracellular lipid transport, lipid resynthesis, lipoprotein synthesis, lipoprotein secretion and their regulation are summarized. Before their resorption the nutritive lipids are saponified by lipases. Fatty acids, monoglycerides, cholesterol and phosphatides are resorbed via a micellary phase. In the enterocytes the resorbed lipids are resynthetized together with endogenic constituents to triglycerides, phosphatides and cholesterol esters, which together with apoproteins as chylomicrons and VLDL reach the blood circulation via the lymphatic channels.
