[Clinical indications for monitoring immunologic reactivity (immune status)]
Abstract:
The tests and the clinical indications for monitoring immunologic reactivity are discussed. From the viewpoint of reliability in relation to diagnosis and therapy for the single patient there are some basic indications: the primary and secondary immunodeficienceis, the immunoproliferative disorders and the monitoring during immunotherapeutic procedures. In autoimmune diseases and in cancer these investigations do not give sufficient information concerning immunoreactivity of the single patient. The differences are statistical significant only for groups. In the future antigenic specific tests seem to be more promising.
