[Results of mycological studies in maxillofacial infections]

500 patients with odontogenic infections in the maxillofacial region had mycological examinations. Almost 1% of mycoses in need of treatment were found, which justifies the routine testing for possible existent fungus infections in the region of the oral cavity.
