Abstract:
Adequate blood supply and complete immobilization are basic requirements for the successful outcome of denudation arthrodesis. These requirements can be ensured by an arrow-shaped bone graft which is impacted in reverse direction into the denuded articular ends. Forthy-three of fifty operated ankle joints and all six operated wrist joints showed satisfactory fusion.
