[Effect of exogenous insulin on in vivo and in vitro antibody formation]
The effect of insulin in different doses on the process of the accumulation of plaque-forming cells in the spleen of immune mice was studied. Antibody response was suppressed in mice receiving various doses of insulin at different stages of immune response. When added in vitro, insulin also suppressed the formation of plaque-forming cells. The effect depended on the doses of insulin. The possible role of cyclic nucleotides in this process is discussed.
