A corneal irritation uniquely produced by hydrogel lathed lenses and its resolution

This paper discusses the presence of an irritation (arc-line abrasion) on the corneas of some patients wearing hydrogel lenses. The author discusses many procedures for resolution and many failures. Only when fenestrations were employed did the irritation subside and disappear.
