    Summary

    Adding an intraocular lens during corneal transplant surgery improves early vision without increasing complications. Visual outcomes are comparable to transplants without lenses in similar corneal disease categories.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess the visual benefit and safety of intraocular lens implantation during corneal transplantation.
    • To compare visual acuity, corneal health, and complication rates in patients with and without IOLs during keratoplasty.
