[Myasthenia. Recent immunological findings (author's transl)]

Recent immunological findings concerning experimental and human myasthenia are review. It has now been established that human myasthenia is an autoimmune disease directed against acetylcholine receptors and mediated mainly by specific antibodies. On the other hand, the precise mechanism of postsynaptic lesions and the cause that triggers off the antireceptor autoimmune reaction are still imperfectly known.
