    Background:

    • Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) is a rare chronic B-cell leukemia.
    • Splenic involvement is a hallmark of HCL, often leading to splenomegaly.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the detailed morphologic alterations in spleen tissues of patients with hairy cell leukemia.
    • To understand the structural changes caused by hairy cell infiltration in the spleen.

    Main Methods:

    • Histochemical staining of paraffin-embedded, plastic-embedded, and fresh-frozen spleen tissue sections.
    • Morphologic analysis of spleen tissues from 12 HCL patients.
