Abstract:
Unlike normal rabbit control globulins, experimental globulins from rabbits injected with BSA-coated asbestos were found to bind with asbestos. One evidence of such binding is a decreased rate of sedimentation of asbestos in solution. Other evidence has been obtained in experiments with fluorescein-labelled reagents. These results are taken to be indicative of the presence of anti-asbestos antibody in the experimental globulins.
