[Fritz Ludwig Dumont: a modern anaesthetist (author's transl)]

Fritz Ludwig Dumont (1854-1932) was a surgeon but worked a lot in the field of anaesthesia. In addition to his extraordinary professional qualifications he demonstrated a great talent for promoting special training in the field of anaesthesia. Unfortunately, he did not really succeed, mainly because he was too far ahead of his time.
