Orienting medical students in occupational medicine
Abstract:
Once again medical schools are actively putting together training programs in occupational medicine. Government funding is making it possible to add to the curriculum some interesting programs which introduce medical students to occupational medicine. The key to lasting success of any such undergraduate program lies in the cooperation of local industries in allowing students to make on-site plant tours. Additional interest and assistance from a large industrial union, a major workers' compensation carrier, and related government agencies have helped solve our unique needs in this field.
