    Area of Science:

    • Neurosurgery
    • Oncology
    • Pathology

    Background:

    • Sellar region tumors can present diagnostic challenges.
    • Fibromyxochondromas are rare cartilaginous tumors with variable behavior.

    Observation:

    • A case of fibromyxochondroma originating within the sella turcica is presented.
    • The tumor exhibited aggressive behavior with local recurrence.

    Findings:

    • Complete surgical excision was performed multiple times.
    • The fibromyxochondroma demonstrated recurrence after initial resection.

    Implications:

    • Highlights the importance of vigilant follow-up for sellar region tumors.
    • Surgical management requires careful consideration of potential recurrence for fibromyxochondromas.
