Functional results in replantation at the distal forearm: a case report

Complete amputation at the forearm level is an infrequent injury. Despite many reports of successful replantation of the hand and fingers, there are few papers discussing the results of reattachment at the forearm level. The results of this case are reported to reaffirm the fact that replantation at this level can be a rewarding experience. The results also question the reliability of two point discrimination as the major indication of satisfactory reinnervation.
