    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the diagnostic yield of ENT and oral examinations in suspected chronic maxillary sinusitis.
    • To determine the prevalence of dental infections in these patients.
    • To assess the role of myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome (MPD).

    Main Methods:

    • 111 patients with suspected chronic maxillary sinusitis underwent ENT and oral examinations.
    • Dental radiographs were utilized.
    • Correlation between symptoms and dental findings was analyzed.

    Main Results:

    • Diagnosis of chronic maxillary sinusitis was confirmed in only 56% of patients.
    • Dental infections (periodontitis, apical granulomas) were found in 47% of confirmed cases.
