    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of spinal anesthesia on maternal circulating catecholamines.
    • To compare the effects of spinal anesthesia on norepinephrine and epinephrine levels in laboring versus non-laboring cesarean patients.

    • Two groups of cesarean patients received spinal anesthesia: one group in labor (n=9) and one not in labor (n=14).
    • Maternal circulating catecholamine levels (norepinephrine and epinephrine) were measured.
