Abstract:
A case report is presented about a patient with typical Menière's disease of the left inner ear. The surgical therapy by means of saccotomy brought only slight improvement. After consultation of the maxillofacial surgeon an impact upper left wisdom tooth was discovered and surgically treated. since this time the symptoms of the Menière's disease have disappeared. Possible connections concerning the localization of the wisdom tooth and the neighbouring anatomical structures are discussed and give a possible clue to a new form of therapy.
