    Summary

    A new rapid method for preparing bacterial inoculum for antimicrobial susceptibility testing was found to be equivalent to the standard National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) method. This faster technique reduces time and cost while maintaining accuracy for clinical microbiology labs.
