Further research using a psychological diary technique to investigate psychosomatic relationships
Abstract:
Reported further data using a pathological diary technique designed to monitor Ss' (N = 110) emotional states over time. Using aggregate measures obtained over a 10-day period, the basic factor structure of the dairy was replicated. The principal factors identified were interpersonal stress, depression-isolation and physical complaints. Items in both the interpersonal stress and depression-isolation factors tended to be related positively to the total number of physical complaints reported during the time period.
