Occurrence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in municipal sewage sludge ashes
Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology
|January 1, 1982
Abstract:
Sludge ash residues from four cities that incinerate municipal sewage sludge were analyzed for isolated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Total amounts of PAHs in the ashes were in the range of 0.1-1 microgram/g. The ash containing the highest amount also exhibited the greatest variety of PAHs.
