[Determination of antibodies to the neuroleptic triftazin]
The reaction of the diazonium salt of an aminoderivative of phenothiazine with bovine serum albumin resulted in the conjugated antigen phenothiazine-BSA. Experiments of rabbits demonstrated that hyperimmunization with the conjugate obtained induces the synthesis of antibodies that specifically bind aminazin and triphtazine. A method has been devised for the detection of antibodies to triphtazine in rabbits and patients who received the drug for a long time. The method is based on passive hemagglutination with the use of sheep red blood cells covalently bound with phenothiazine derivatives. It was disclosed that the patients who received triphtazine for a long time show blood antibodies to the drug.
