Chromomycosis in Tanzania

Sixteen cases of chromomycosis encountered over the period 1975-1980 are reported for the first time from Tanzania. In the tropics, in ulcerative or cauliflower-like lesions, especially of lower limbs the possibility of chromomycosis should be confirmed or ruled out by means of scrapings or biopsy.
