    Background:

    • Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease.
    • Synovial membrane changes in OA are not fully understood.

    • To histopathologically examine synovial tissues in primary osteoarthritis.
    • To quantify inflammatory features in OA synovial membranes.
