A comparative study of job satisfaction in medical technology

This paper reports the results of a job satisfaction study of four allied health groups: medical dietitians; medical technologists; occupational therapists; and, physical therapists. Comparisons of mean job satisfaction scores between professions are presented, as are comparisons to national norms. Particular emphasis is placed on the results from medical technology respondents, and a summary of anecdotal comments from medical technologists is also presented. Implications for laboratory managers and educators are discussed.
