    Summary

    A new skin test using histamine and adrenoceptor agonists can identify impaired adrenergic function. This simple test is effective for patients with diabetic autonomic neuropathy and after lumbar sympathectomy.

    Background:

    • This test can aid in the diagnosis of conditions associated with adrenergic dysfunction.
