[Prognosis of hematopoietic-system tumors as based on structural properties]

Comparisons were made in a series of 43 orofacial biopsies and 91 necropsies as regards the survival rate in patients with histological types of malignant lymphoma and other tumours of the haematopoietic system. Results listed in tables are, on the whole, in agreement with literary data. Problems were only encountered in the group of immunoblastomas where the nodular and angiofollicular varieties were repeatedly seen in association with a survival time of as much as 3 years as opposed to 1 year survival time in the diffuse variety.
